Meet The Team

When I started Food Ease, I wanted to create an inclusive space that made it easy for dietitians to work in private practice AND create community.

My Eating Disorder experience has been at the PHP/IOP level of care and I have been working with private clients for the last 3 years.

My education and lived experience with an eating disorder allows me to build rapport and connect more deeply to my clients. My approach includes boundary setting, decreasing stress and shame around food and eating, and body image work.

I practice within the Health at Every Size approach, which is weight-inclusive care that focuses on increasing health promoting behaviors rather than decreasing things that may bring joy.

I focus on self-talk reframing and body image distress strategies and techniques to help my clients feel better about food and their bodies. I believe that everyone deserves to feel good in their skin, no matter what their size or shape.

Emily Edelson, MS, RD

Marinelle Bartolome, MS, RDN, CLE

I am a registered dietitian-nutritionist that focuses on all mental health conditions to provide a support system and restore wellness to mind and body. I have worked from different hospitals and facilities including large teaching hospitals and I have finally found my passion for helping clients with eating disorders and disordered eating overcome their struggles.

I want to help my clients build a deeper relationship and understanding with food and its connection to better mood. My own battle with binge & restrictive eating had a huge contribution to why I want to create a support system to my clients in need of help.

Assisting my clients to find a long-lasting result of recovery with their relationship with food and themselves while practicing a non-diet approach and intuitive eating is the best reward any other dietetic professional can accomplish.

I want to create a safe and positive environment to support people experiencing eating disorders, disordered eating, and body dysmorphia.

Camila Silva, MS, RDN (she/her)

Welcome! I'm Camila -- a queer, small-fat, and first generation Latina dietitian. I am passionate about inspiring people, building community, and improving healthcare. My niche is the intersection between psychology and nutrition with an emphasis on anti-diet health education and cooking. Not only am I an avid home cook but also, I’ve taught these skills to hundreds of students using budget- and time-friendly recipes. As a woman with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), I’m dedicated to practical nutrition therapy for PCOS and diabetes management without dieting and negative self-talk.

I am equipped with a decade of experience including:
· Undergraduate degrees in psychology (San José State University [SJSU], Gavilan College)
· Master of Science in Nutritional Science, SJSU
· Dietetic internship at Stanford Health Care and Nutrition Therapy Essentials
· Coaching and group support for teens and adults living with eating disorders in IOP/PHP settings (supervised meals, recovery counseling, and group sessions in nutrition, body image, cooking, and gardening)
· Clinical nutrition therapy for adults and elderly in hospital, skilled nursing, and long-term care facilities
· Other training: trauma-informed care, body image, and leadership/communication skills
· Public Policy Representative for the Silicon Valley District of California Nutrition and Dietetics (CAND)

I consider myself privileged to support people with their nutrition and well-being. Notably, I have seen many clients benefit from questioning societal norms and adopting intuitive eating and Health at Every Size values. I provide a compassionate, person-centered approach that honors your goals and experience.

When we work together, you can expect a safe, judgment-free space where:
· Eating what you like (that is—enjoyable, accessible, affordable, and cultural) is prioritized,
· Mental health is considered, and
· Your strengths are emphasized.

As a cancer survivor, I've undergone extensive chemotherapy and surgeries while managing 10-12 different medications daily. Having navigated the complexities of the medical system as a patient, I bring forth compassion and empathy rooted in my lived experience. Get to know me better through my podcast, Sick & Good and my nutrition songs “Notes-On-Nutrition." My professional background includes work in hospitals, outpatient care, substance abuse facilities, eating disorder treatment centers, and community nutrition.

As a dietitian and certified nutrition coach, I prioritize a client-centered approach aligned with individual lifestyle goals. Beyond nutrition, I derive joy from using music to educate about nutrition. Practices like meditation, network spinal analysis, and acupuncture are integral to my healing journey, and I'm eager to support you on your Nutrition Journey.
